Oakies Topsail Fiddle, aka Snickers

Okies Topsail Fiddle (Snickers) is a 14.2 hands registered bay AQHA  gelding. Snickers is big boned and athletic. His personality is super friendly, quiet, and very smart.  He is such a great horse to train because he learns so quickly and easily. He has had 2 months of reining training. He is my big baby and I have had him since a yearling so I would never part with him. He is part of the family. We were hoping to try doing some small local reining shows or gymkhanas with him. He is still having lamness issues from winter 2006. If everything goes well Snickers will become our lesson horse in 2009.

    His sire, Nuther Fiddle Dexter, was a 15.2 hands bay AQHA.  He is deceased. His sire's offspring have excelled in barrel, western pleasure, english pleasure, halter, and eventing. 

    His dam, Blue Cottonsail Cody, is a 14.2 hands chestnut AQHA. Through her sire and dam lines she has a double infusion of Joe Cody breeding crossed on two great reining bred lines.

Update:  His first foal, a filly named Topsails Mighty Chic, arrived May 28, 2006.

Update:  7/9/07 Snickers second foal is a beautiful bay colt!  Both foals are very well muscled and beautiful.  We are also proud to announce they are both HYPP N/N!

Snickers produced 2 great foals before we gelded him...I  regret gelding him now because his foals are so sweet and smart.

Sorry about the bad picture of him in his very wooly winter coat. I will try to get some better ones when he sheds out and looks a lot more handsome. He is a very pretty boy.

Top Cats Question, aka Brago 

Top Cats Question (Brago) is a registered 1996 APHA sorrel overo gelding. He is the newest addition to the family. He is 15 hands and about 1100 lbs. He is aslo very flashy with his big blaze, 3 hind stockings, 1front sock, and belly splashes.  He definitely stands out and is beautiful!  He has a great neck rein, leg yields, and runs a good barrel pattern.  He also is a great trail horse even with out another horse. He is not spooky and is calm on the road.  I was told he had also been started on cattle. We planed on hauling him to barrel races this summer to get him seasoned. Brago is put on hold for this year beacause I am pregnant but we will be hauling him to barrel races in 2009. Keep watch for us in 2009! 

Update: Our first Gymkhana in July.  We found out that we need a little work, but nothing a little time won't fix.
